Grow Annapolis had a lot of fun with the kids of Shady Side Elementary School and our friends from the Cool HAT (Healthy and Tasty) Garden, this past Thursday. The event marked the end of this years garden club, and a time of preparation for things to come this Summer.
While there, kids were busy preparing the beds for Summer, composting spent greens, planting new veggies and checking out the baby praying mantises that were prowling the garden. In all, there were over 20 kids present, many parents and it ended up being a lot of fun for everyone.
Well keep you posted as the ladies of the Cool HAT Garden get ready for this years Garden Summer Camp. It should be a lot of fun, and we can’t wait to see everyone there!
