Plot to Plate
Grow Annapolis’s Plot to Plate Initiative encourages folks to source and eat locally grown foods. Whether it’s from your local CSA or own back yard, locally sourced foods are fresher, more delicious and help support our local food infrastructure and economy.
Buying or growing locally grown foods is also a great way to introduce children to the fun of fresh fruits and veggies, as they learn where their food comes from, and how they can eat it.
Our efforts are both educational and a practical part of our Community Gardens Initiative. As we educate the public on CSAs, farmers markets, restaurants that source locally grown foods, and what people can grow in their own back yards or community garden plot, we are also teaching folks what they can do with their fresh food, by offering cooking and food preservation classes.
Please let us know if you are interested in getting involved with Plot to Plate and stay tuned for upcoming events.
