City Dock

Grow Annapolis is proud to announce our first community garden location at the Old Rec & Parks building near the City Dock. This project has been in the making for over a year now, and will be our featured Pilot Project for the 2010 growing season. We are excited about the opportunity of getting our hands dirty as we break ground at this new location, and get busy growing food and cultivate community in Downtown Annapolis.

If you are interested in plot adoption at our City Dock location, please fill out one of our plot application. Grow Annapolis is hoping to have as many as 20 adoptable plots in this location, so spots may fill up fast. Feel free to contact us with any questions.

Bywater Park

Along with the City Dock location, the Grow Annapolis is exploring the possibility of starting a community garden at Bywater Park. If you are not familiar with the location, it’s behind the Forest Drive Safeway, off of Bywater Road.

If this project is approved, it could include as many as 50 adoptable plots. Our hope is that this project would be able to meet the increasing demand we have been receiving for garden plots within the city. If all goes according to plan plots will be made available at this location next spring.

Please let us know if you are interested in gardening at this location, or getting involved with the planning team. We are presently accepting applications for the waiting list for the 2011 growing season.

Get Involved

If you are interested in learning more about these locations, please feel free to contact us. We are currently in the process of looking for team members and partners who are willing to get involved in design and building aspects of our projects. If that’s you, or you know someone who could help, let us know.
