Shady Side Elementary School Garden

Grow Annapolis has partnered with our friends at Shady Side Elementary School, the Cool Hats Garden and Anne Arundel County Department of Health, to create a new garden for the children of South County.

The Cool Hats Garden Project at Shady Side Elementary School will include an outdoor learning space and soil and amendments to grow a bounty of food and tasty treats. The children of Shady Side will lean the importance of healthy eating, as they are joined by our partners with from the Anne Arundel County Department of Health for reading time.  They will also learn that food can be fun as they get their hands dirty in the garden with our friends from Cool Hats Garden, taking part in their after school and summer camp program.

If you are interested in growing healthy kids consider volunteering and making a charitable donation to our Grow Kids Program. Grow Annapolis is a grass roots organization and we would love to have you on the team. Contact us if you are interested in learning more.
