Come to voice your approval or concerns.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, it is against city code to raise chickens or any other animal for the purpose of consumption within the Annapolis City Limits. If the hearing goes well, it will allow residents the right to house as many as\u00a0five egg-laying hens, so long as the chicken coops meet a minimum setback requirement of 5 feet from neighbors&#8217; property lines.\u00a0For local foodies and urban homesteaders, this is exciting news.
